Risk Disclosure

Last updated 27-OCT-2026

READ BEFORE TRADINGOptions trading involves substantial risk and is not suitable for every investor. You can lose the entire amount you pay for an option, and some strategies can lose more than the amount invested.

Options and Same-Day Expiry

Options that expire the same day (0DTE) can lose most or all of their value within minutes. Time decay (theta) speeds up sharply near expiry, and small moves in the underlying can cause large swings in the option price (gamma). Spreads can widen quickly and fills may be worse than the quoted price.

Before trading options, read Characteristics and Risks of Standardized Options, published by The Options Clearing Corporation.

No Investment Advice

QuantOS is a research and review tool. It does not know your finances, goals or risk tolerance and does not give personal advice. Decision gates, scores and labels describe market conditions against rules. They don’t tell you to trade.

Limits of the Analytics

  • Past results don’t predict future results. Backtests, replays and historical statistics describe what happened, not what will happen.
  • Scores marked UNCALIBRATED are not probabilities. They rank setups by a rule that hasn’t been fitted to outcomes.
  • ESTIMATED values are inferences. Dealer positioning and similar measures are estimated from incomplete data.
  • Small samples mislead. Results built on few trades can change sharply as more trades are added.

Data and Technology

Market and account data come from third parties and may be delayed, incomplete or wrong. Connections can fail, and Schwab requires you to reconnect every seven days. Don’t rely on QuantOS as your only source of positions, orders or account balances. Your broker’s records are authoritative.
